Make a Stock Donation
When you make a
gift of stock or shares in a mutual fund,
you receive a deduction equal to their
full fair market value on the day the
shares are transferred to WPA. If you
donate appreciated securities that you
have held for more than one year, you
have the additional benefit of paying
no capital gains tax on the transfer.
Stockbrokers require instructions in
writing. You will need to give the following
delivery information to your broker to
make a gift to WPA:
Firm: Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, 280 Park Avenue
3rd floor, New York, NY 10017
Contact: Mr. Matthew
Madlinger
DTC# 443
ACCT: Womens Prison Association
ACCT#
5XN-875680
It is important to notify WPA when you
intend to give the gift of stock or have
completed your request to your broker.
Please contact us at 646-292-7750 or development@wpaonline.org.

Make a Planned Gift
Bequests can be made
in the form of specific dollar amounts,
other kinds of property, a percentage
of the estate, or all or a portion of
what remains after you have provided
for your family. Certain kinds of planned
gifts can provide donors with sizable
income over a period of many years. Others
can help donors (or their heirs) avoid
or minimize capital gains, estate and
other taxes. With the advice of a tax
or legal professional, a planned gift
can benefit donors, their families, and
WPA.
For information about making a bequest
to WPA, please contact us at 646-292-7750 or development@wpaonline.org.

Make an In-Kind Donation (Goods and
Services)
The women and children who
seek assistance from WPA often lack basic
necessities essential to finding employment
and/or maintaining a household. Gifts
of clean, gently used clothing (for both
adults and children), toys, books, and
furniture are always appreciated.
To make an in-kind donation, please
contact us at 646-292-7750 or development@wpaonline.org.
